1 MINUTE READ

Carbon Clean, a leader in revolutionising carbon capture solutions, has cemented its position as a decarbonisation pioneer with a listing on the 2025 Global Cleantech 100. This is the sixth time Carbon Clean has been featured in this prestigious report, maintaining its status as a leader in carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS).

This annual list, now in its 16th year, showcases the most promising private sector cleantech companies making significant contributions to sustainable innovation.

Aniruddha Sharma, Chair and CEO of Carbon Clean, said: “Carbon Clean’s continued presence on the Global Cleantech 100 reflects the recognition of our commitment to continuous innovation. Our CycloneCC technology for carbon capture is a real game changer for hard-to-abate sectors. By eliminating the columns used in conventional solutions we’ve reduced the height by 70%, and cut the physical footprint and total installed cost of carbon capture by up to 50%. Our replicable, ‘plug and play’ design is the only way to reduce the time from first-of-a-kind (FOAK) to nth-of-a-kind projects, making CCUS logistically and financially viable to roll out at scale.”

Richard Youngman, CEO of Cleantech Group, said: 2025 will be remembered as a transformative year for cleantech. The bar has gone up for what kind of level of potential novelty, uniqueness, and cost improvements might be attractive. The Global Cleantech 100 highlights innovators who are building the foundation for a sustainable and economically viable future.

The Cleantech Group report predicts how FOAK projects that pave the way for fast followers will be a key milestone to watch in 2025, following the previous year’s success in launching FOAK implementations that set the stage for scale. Companies transitioning to economic, nth-of-a-kind facilities will gain an edge, leveraging lessons learned from early adopters. This “free-rider” effect will benefit fast followers that can refine processes and avoid costly mistakes.

Companies featured on the 2025 Global Cleantech 100 will be recognised at the Cleantech Forum North America on 27-29 January in San Diego, California.
