This follows two major milestones announced last week, whereby Carbon Clean was selected by ADNOC to deploy its CycloneCC technology and signed a Joint Development Agreement (JDA) with Samsung Engineering to further scale its technology in the maritime sector.
The new headquarters are located near London Bridge, in the UK’s first commercial development by Landsec to have been designed in line with the UK Green Building Council’s definition of a net zero building. The Forge is a fitting location for Carbon Clean, as it is designed to minimise environmental impact and facilitate collaboration between teams. The building features PV solar panels, rainwater harvesting, natural ventilation, a green roof garden to encourage bee pollination, and a commitment to 100% of waste diverted from landfill.
As the first business to make The Forge its new home, Carbon Clean will use the space to foster research, innovation, and growth as it enters a period of rapid expansion across global markets and continues taking steps towards the commercialisation of its breakthrough CycloneCC modular carbon capture technology by 2025.
Iain Tobin, Chief Corporate Officer & CFO of Carbon Clean, said:
“Given Carbon Clean’s commitment to achieving industrial decarbonisation and a net zero future, we are delighted to find a new headquarters that aligns with our mission. Carbon Clean has doubled in size in the last year and we were looking for premises that could accommodate our ongoing growth and provide a high quality environment for our staff, partners and customers. London is a global centre for climate technology and services and we’re looking forward to continuing to lead in carbon capture from our new home in The Forge.”
Carbon Clean is planning to increase its headcount by more than 90% by March 2025 and the move announced today marks the company’s most recent expansion following the opening of its US headquarters in Houston in March.
