Carbon Clean, a global leader in cost-effective carbon capture solutions, has boosted its global sales team with appointments that cover Asia, Europe and the Middle East.

Lim Beng Chong joins as Sales Director, APAC, based in Singapore. Federico Cruzzolin has been hired as Sales Manager, Europe and is based in Frankfurt, Germany. While Niraj Singh has been promoted to Sales Manager, MEA and will be located in Mumbai, India.

These appointments follow the recent record $150m Series C funding round and the company’s stated commitment to rapidly build its business in order to meet the rising demand for its innovative carbon capture solutions. Carbon Clean expects to have a headcount of 75 by the end of August, up from 49 at the start of 2022, with recruitment continuing apace.

Lim joins in a new role and will be using his 26 years of sales experience in the oil and gas, petrochemical, chemical and power industries to build on the company’s existing strong presence in the Asia-Pacific region.

Lim Beng Chong, Sales Director, APAC commented:

I look forward to building a strong and successful sales team that can deliver the clean energy solutions industrial customers are seeking as their businesses transition to a net zero future. Carbon Clean has the technological edge – significantly reducing the cost of carbon capture through its standardised, modular carbon capture system.

“We are already delivering exciting projects in APAC, including commissioning a 10 tonnes per day carbon capture unit at Taiheiyo Cement Corporation’s Kumagaya City plant in Japan, and we know there are many more companies who will need carbon capture solutions in the coming years.”

Cruzzolin is an industrial chemist with 20 years technical and commercial experience in the chemical and environmental industries. He will be joining the European sales team to further develop Carbon Clean’s customer base in Europe, which already includes LafargeHolcim España and CEMEX Deutschland among others.

Federico Cruzzolin, Sales Manager, Europe said:

“I'm excited to be part of a fast-growing company which is having a real impact on mitigating climate change and that is a major player in the carbon capture sector.”

Singh has been with Carbon Clean almost since its inception and his new role as Sales Manager, MEA, will be his fourth in the company.

Niraj Singh, Sales Manager, MEA, added:

“I’ve had an exciting journey since joining as one of the first employees in 2011. Moving from process engineering to project development and now sales, I truly understand the technology and am in a great position to work with customers to ensure we can meet their needs.”
